Savona by Sarah Mariam brings four expressive designs to Swafing's proven Oxford quality. A modern mix of pink,
coral, turquoise, mint and dark accents combines floral and almost animal-like shapes. A lush floral design in muted
green, cream, rosé and berry shades has a calmer, more elegant feel. Sarah Mariam's signature flowing colour
worlds complete the range: petrol, turquoise, blue, violet and rosé with warm golden accents evoke ink, rock strata
or shimmering minerals, while deep blue, turquoise, creamy white and bright orange create strong contrast, depth
and movement in another version.
The Oxford fabric is water-repellent and exceptionally hard-wearing, with a Martindale abrasion resistance of more
than 60,000 cycles. Despite its durability, it is surprisingly soft and not stiff. Even larger projects can be sewn without
the fabric automatically creating a rigid shape. The amount of structure can be controlled during construction: for
softer bags, Savona can be used without extra reinforcement; for more body, it can be combined with a firmer fabric
such as Rom. Rex, Calvin or Mesh can also be useful partners depending on the project. Solids, faux leather and
bold webbing add further design options.
Its water-repellent, durable surface also makes Savona a strong choice for projects used outdoors or on the go,
while the fabric remains soft enough for functional garments.
